The number of foreign tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka has been recorded as over 100,000 for January 2023. this was a about 20,000 tourist arrival increase comparing to January 2022. Russian Federation was the largest source of tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka in January 2023 which is 25,254 (25% from total arrivals). Followed by India which 13,759 tourist arrivals (13% from total arrivals) and India was a recorded as largest source for tourism arrivals to Sri Lanka in 2022.
