Sri Lanka Tourism made grand welcome to the first batch of Chinese Tourists group for 2023. which is arrived on 01st March 2023 three years after the Covid 19 pandemic, which is arrived via special aircraft UL 1881 from Guanzhou and They were warmly welcomed to Sri Lanka at the Bandaranaike International Airport This is a special and major occasion for Sri Lanka since its created a great opportunity setback in the future Chinese tourists arrivals. And Chinese visitors were overjoyed by receiving such a warm welcome.
Further It’s create an opportunity to enhance cultural and Bilateral relation between China and Sri Lanka. And China is longtime close friend of Sri Lanka and helping in develop infrastructure, Cultural and Economic in many difficult times.

The Chinese visitor group consisted with 117 tourists and they expect to stay here in Sri Lanka for 8 days. and planing to travel many destinations. China will start its flight operations to Sri Lanka from 01st of March via Sri Lankan Airlines and China Eastern Airlines to further enhance the air connectivity between the two countries. Sri Lanka is expect to bringing a large number of tourist to Sri Lanka within the year through these Airlines. this will be definite good sign for Sri Lanka tourism industry. China is one of the large market for Sri Lanka in tourism industry and in year 2018 China is marked as highest number of tourist arrival to Sri Lanka.
